Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Last updated: 8 September 2025
Introduction
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is made in accordance with best practice under Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Although Hutch Logistics Ltd is not legally required to publish a statement under the Act, we recognise the importance of transparency and accountability in tackling modern slavery and human trafficking.
Hutch Logistics Ltd (“Hutch”, “the Company”, “we”) is committed to ensuring that slavery and human trafficking are not present in its business operations or supply chains. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and expect the same from all those with whom we do business.
This statement sets out the steps Hutch has taken during the financial year ending 31 March 2025 to prevent slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
Organisational Structure and Supply Chains
Hutch Logistics Ltd is a UK-based company providing logistics, kitting, fulfilment, and distribution services. Our business operations are conducted solely in the United Kingdom.
Our supply chains are relatively straightforward and primarily include:
UK courier and haulage providers;
Packaging and storage suppliers;
IT and software providers;
Professional and administrative services.
We consider our supply chains to be low risk due to their UK-based nature. Nevertheless, we remain vigilant and apply proportionate checks to ensure compliance with our values.
Policies in Relation to Slavery and Human Trafficking
Hutch has adopted a zero-tolerance stance towards modern slavery and human trafficking.
Our commitments are to:
Conduct all business with integrity, transparency, and fairness;
Require suppliers to confirm compliance with relevant legislation and ethical standards;
Take action if any supplier is found to be involved in modern slavery or human trafficking.
Due Diligence
As part of our approach, Hutch undertakes due diligence on its suppliers to reduce the risk of slavery or human trafficking. This includes:
Assessing suppliers at onboarding to confirm compliance with UK employment law and ethical standards;
Periodically reviewing supplier relationships and contracts;
Maintaining the right to terminate relationships with suppliers who fail to meet our standards.
These procedures help us to:
Identify and address potential risks in our business and supply chains;
Monitor areas where there may be risks of non-compliance;
Reduce the likelihood of slavery or human trafficking occurring.
Risk Assessment and Management
Hutch has evaluated the risk of slavery and human trafficking in its business and supply chains. Given our size, scope, and UK-based operations, we consider our risk exposure to be low.
We manage this risk by:
Evaluating modern slavery risks when engaging new suppliers;
Maintaining relationships with reputable, established suppliers;
Taking proportionate action where risks are identified, including seeking assurances or ceasing to work with non-compliant suppliers.
Effectiveness and Performance Measurement
Hutch monitors the effectiveness of its approach through:
Annual reviews of supplier practices and compliance;
Seeking confirmations from suppliers that they adhere to relevant legislation and ethical practices;
Internal oversight of procurement activities to ensure policies are applied consistently.
We measure success in this area by the absence of slavery or human trafficking cases in our business and supply chains. To date, no such instances have been identified.
Training and Awareness
We ensure that staff involved in procurement, supplier management, and operations are aware of modern slavery risks. Awareness includes:
Recognising the signs of slavery and human trafficking;
Understanding the steps to take if concerns arise;
Knowing how to escalate issues to management;
Awareness of external support available if required.
We will continue to review opportunities for further training and awareness-raising as our business grows.
Approval
This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of Hutch Logistics Ltd and will be reviewed annually.
